HaSS
Grade 8 HaSS students have looked into the world of
Business and Economics. Students had to come up with business ideas of their own and sell them to the class. The range of products and services they came up with showed that they are already developing enterprising skills. These varied from products for bike-riders to a lecture tour on the dangers of giving children phones too young. In this module they also learnt about the taxation system.
Next they looked at landforms and the ways in which they are valued. This has involved them choosing an Australian one, researching an Aboriginal dreaming story about its creation, gaining knowledge on how it formed geologically, its value to tourism and the impact we humans have on it.
