This term, our Grade 7 students are kicking off with a new unit in Science, Biology! They're exploring the fascinating world of food chains, food webs, ecosystems, and invasive species, learning how living things interact and depend on one another in nature.

One of the highlights of the unit will be building a food web, where students will discover how energy flows through an ecosystem and how each organism plays a vital role. They'll also get hands-on by creating an ecosystem in a bottle, a fun and interactive way to observe over the term how plants and microbes coexist in a closed environment.

Through these activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of the delicate balance in nature, and the impact humans can have on ecosystems.
